Full Control over all Welding Parameters
One major challenge with manual welding is that it is nearly impossible to change weld parameters during the weld. As any good welder knows, every time you have to stop and start again, there is a risk for an indication in the weld. This risk is instantly diminished with the SWR as it allows a junior welder to have full control over all welding parameters, and instantly change the parameters during the weld. The SWR lets you weld the joint from root to cap, increasing the overall quality and consistency of your welds.
Ability to see how much Reinforcement is being used
With the SWR and Novarc’s Welding Vision System, the operator can see how much reinforcement is being put in to the root of the weld at all times. This removes a lot of frustration and stress on the welder and also eliminates the need for repair work, which is a costly process for shops. By pairing a junior welder to operate the SWR, fabrication shops can have defect rates lower than 1%.
Reduces Human Error
Humans are prone to error, and manually producing repeatable and consistent high-quality welds has proven to be extremely difficult.
