CHICAGO, IL – September 9, 2025 – Novarc Technologies is proud to announce that the company’s Co-Founder and Emeritus CTO, Reza Abdollahi, has been honoured with the prestigious WEMCO Excellence in Welding Award at a ceremony held during FABTECH in Chicago on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
The WEMCO Excellence in Welding Awards recognize individuals and organizations that elevate the image of welding and bolster the industry. Celebrating dedication to enhancing welding’s reputation, Abdollahi was selected from a pool of highly qualified candidates for the esteemed “Individual” award.

Abdollahi was instrumental in the market launch of Novarc’s Spool Welding Robot (“SWR”), the world’s first advanced welding cobot specifically designed for pipe and roll welding applications.
