FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 30, 2021

NORTH VANCOUVER, BC: Novarc Technologies, a Vancouver-based robotics company specializing in the design and commercialization of collaborative robots for industrial applications, announced today it has been named to Rocket Builders’ nineteenth (19th) annual “Ready to Rocket” lists for the third consecutive year.  These lists profile British Columbia technology companies that are best positioned to capitalize on the technology sector trends that will lead them to faster growth than their peers.

“We are very excited to again be named to the 2021 Rocket Builder list,” says Soroush Karimzadeh, CEO and Co-Founder of Novarc Technologies. “We have been driven by our core value to challenge the status quo and the belief that there is a way to weld better, faster and safer, and despite a very challenging year globally, we have continued a growth trajectory.”

Novarc’s Spool Welding Robot (SWR) is the world’s first collaborative welding robot providing pipe fabrication shops servicing oil & gas, building construction, shipbuilding and other process piping applications with a collaborative welding robot solution that transforms the way clients can bid on jobs. Novarc automates the pipe welding process, working alongside a human operator, to increase productivity, weld quality and consistency, with the ability to recover clients’ capital investment within six to 18 months.

Novarc was named to the Cleantech list, as a company that will likely experience significant growth, venture capital investment or acquisition by a major player in the coming year.

Novarc’s growth actually escalated in 2020 and the company achieved 1235% growth in revenue and ranked 45th among Canada’s Top Growing Companies in 2020.

According to Dave Thomas, Senior Partner at Rocket Builders, “The Cleantech sector in B.C. continues to see growth despite the challenges presented by the pandemic. Investors are keen on the sector and are making large investments in post-demonstration technologies that are ready to scale.”

“We have worked very hard over the past year to adapt our engineering, management and sales/demonstration practices. Now, more than ever, the clean tech benefits of Novarc’s solution have significance,” says Karimzadeh.

There are a number of benefits of Novarc’s SWR for welders working in a challenging, high-risk work environment such as reduction in injuries due to fatigue, less exposure to UV light, radiant and excessive heat, and carcinogenic fumes.

This year, the “Ready to Rocket” lists 213 companies across five different technology sectors:  Information and Communications Technology; Cleantech; Life Science; Digital Health; and Agri-Food. The lists are the only predictive lists of its kind in North America, requiring many months of sector and company analysis.
