Spool Welding Robot

What is SWR™-TIGMIG?

The SWR™-TIGMIG is the most versatile spool welding robot ever created, combining TIG and MIG welding into one seamless autonomous solution. Designed for fabricators who demand X-ray-quality TIG roots and want the speed, flexibility, and throughput of MIG, this system eliminates tradeoffs between precision and productivity. Whether you’re winning diverse projects or meeting strict customer requirements, the SWR™-TIGMIG delivers exceptional adaptability, faster job turnarounds, and reduced operating costs, all with a single system that can be integrated with up to four positioners to further boost productivity.

Our Difference

The SWR™-TIGMIG Difference

Dual-Process in One System

Weld TIG roots, then switch to MIG welding for fill passes – all in under 30 seconds. Save time, reduce material handling, and eliminate downtime between passes.

Increased Shop Throughput

Achieve up to 4X productivity gains on dual-process welds by combining the precision of TIG with the speed of MIG. Maintain continuous production by aligning the weld process with job requirements, shift by shift.

Shop-Wide Flexibility

Respond to project demands dynamically. Whether you need to weld TIG all the way out, MIG all the way out, or a combination,  the SWR™-TIGMIG adapts, eliminating the need for multiple machines and setups.

Staffing Efficiency

Reduce reliance on highly skilled welders. The system ensures consistent root quality and fill performance, making it easier to scale operations while maintaining quality, even in labor-constrained environments.

One Camera. Zero Hassle

The single-camera system supports both processes with crystal-clear weld visibility. The intuitive Luna UI provides seamless control over MIG and TIG with intelligent recipes and process memory built in.

Cutting-edge weld imaging system

Witness the future of weld monitoring with our advanced imaging system. Real-time clarity gives SWR™-TIGMIG operators unprecedented visibility into the welding process, ensuring unmatched precision and accuracy in every weld.

  • Enhanced view of the groove, puddle, and stick
  • Every weld is recorded in real-time with key weld parameters embedded on the screen
  • Improve weld quality by analyzing recorded videos in parallel with the weld parameters saved by NovData™
Hot Filler Wire Technology
The filler wire in our system is "hot," with 80 amps flowing through it. This unique feature significantly contributes to enhanced deposition rates and travel speeds, further optimizing your welding process.
Patented TIP TIG Feeding System

The SWR™-TIGMIG System incorporates TIP TIG, utilizing a patented feeding system. This system superimposes feeding in parallel through a backward/forward movement. This innovative design breaks the surface tension of the puddle, leading to improved solidification of the weld pool and ensuring impeccable weld quality.
